As all of you know, there are some special processes in manufacturing industries -

Basic question in Interview - 
Why "special" word has been given to these processes? 

Answer - Special Processes are the processes whose output cannot be verified. Destructive testing is the only method in which the output of special processes can be measured or monitored. 

Example - CQI 15 - Welding process is a special process. Because, welding quality can only be verified by destructive test that is called penetration test. We should cut the welded parts to check how much penetration depth has been achieved in parent materials.
